Jake Bosci’s Cure for “Heartbreak”

The amount of talent sitting down in Australia is abundant. Just last week we talked to a band that’s ready to give 5 Seconds of Summer a run for their money and this week we’re shining a light on Jake Bosci. He’s a singer-songwriter who once called the outback home, but now resides in the insane world known as LA. With a sound that sounds like two staples in music that are on opposite sides of the spectrum, but that both fare well on the likes of Vh1 countdowns, Bosci’s latest single “Heartbreak” is just the tip of this rising star’s iceberg.

You can read a press release a hundred times over, but until you press play – you never know what you’re going to hear. When I clicked I was welcomed by a sound that was like the musical child of alt-rockers Silversun Pickups with hints in his vocals, and John Mayer because of the way his sentiments make you instantly a fan. Even though he’s singing about a broken heart, you’re still hanging on every word as the music is rather uplifting instead of the Haagen-Dazs induced soundtrack one would normally listen to when a relationship comes to an end. Those who fell for “Heartbreak” as fast as I did can make sure to find it on his upcoming EP, Wild Love.
