ACIDIC Rocks the Viper Room, First L.A. Show in A Year

(West Hollywood, CA) – Indie band ACIDIC play their first L.A. show in almost a year when they rock the Viper Room, 8852 W. Sunset Blvd., on Friday, March 4, at 9:30 pm. Tickets $10. at the door. Info: (310) 358-1881 or  Viper Room.

Capping off a terrific 2015, ACIDIC won “Best Band”, “Best Recording (LP)”, and “Best Music Video” in the 2016 Rockwired Readers Poll Awards, announced late January and voted on by the station/magazine’s large listenership. Rockwired is a multi-platform magazine and radio show founded in 2005 by music journalist Brian Lush whose Mission Statement is “to provide a forum for new music that celebrates the artistry, independence, and entrepreneurial spirit of today’s independent music maker and the entrepreneurs that support them”. Through the years Rockwired has interviewed some of the biggest names in rock including Deborah Harry (Blondie), Pat Benatar, and Joan Jett.

ACIDIC’s song “Beautiful” was recently the #1 most-played Indie AC Record (per Mediabase, radio’s top source for monitored airplay information). The group garnered great reviews for Creatures, their most recent full-length album release – “a feel-good album…mix of punk, pop, rock, and dance music that sums up the melting pot that is the current So Cal sound” (SCREAMER); “Wonderful harmonies throughout…singer (Michael Gossard) really shows his prowess…great, unique sound!” (NATIONAL ROCK REVIEW).

They toured constantly throughout 2015, with appearances at such high-profile events as the Taste of Madison Festival, WIIL-FM Rockfest, and more. More extensive touring and high-profile shows are planned for 2016.
