Music Monday: The Happenings of This Week

First and foremost, we here at Coming Up would like to send our deepest condolences to the friends and families Christina Grimmie, as well as of all of those affected by the tragedy that went down on Orlando at Pulse this weekend.

We go out to experience things like concerts and clubs to escape from our day to day madness, the mundane. For most it is our happy place and we should never have to fear those places. Note that it will take more than a tweet or a Facebook post though to cause a change in this world. So if you feel strongly, take action and check out these sites here. Now, let’s not let that fear cause us to not live our lives. With that, here are the shows going on this week in LA.

Rita Wilson at Troubadour on 6/15

Actress and singer Rita Wilson is heading to what appears to be her favorite spot in LA once more for what is sure to be a great night of sweet sounds.

Bob Dylan at Shrine Auditorium on 6/16

This legend. What’s there to say that hasn’t already been said, right?

Mase at The Novo on 6/17

Those who grew up in the 90’s know this man’s rhymes, and they also know that this rapper once left the limelight to pursue a career as a pastor. Now he’s back and spitting out the classics.

Jacob Whitesides at Troubadour on 6/18

This Tiger Beat dreamboat is also hitting up the Troubadour and let’s just say, there will be a hoard of teenagers flipping out when he walks out.

6/18 Moses Sumney at Getty Center

This is a SoCal native to support to the fullest. His voice could carry you through across country on its back and then some; strong as hell. We can’t gush enough about him. See him this week, for sure.
