It’s Time for Music – Music Discoveries June 23rd

Summer is here and there is not a better time to discover new artist and bands to get us pumped up for nights out on the town or or lazy days chilling by the beach or pool.

We have several new artist to introduce you to this week including  singer-songwriter Joy Autumn who’s new song Sunny Lemonade was exactly what we needed to get us primed and ready to kick off our shoes and crack open a chilled bottle of our favorite Pinot Grigio.

Her live performance of her song “Sunny Lemonade” features Brodie Johnson on cello will make you think of warm summer days walking along the beach or sitting in the hills against a stream watching the clouds go by.

You can catch Joy about town if you are in Los Angeles as she plays often at the Hotel cafe. In the interim enjoy this lovely song which helped us find our musical grove tonight as we discovered her and several other amazing artist we thought we would share.

Electro- Dream Pop artist rel  Releases new single “Factory”

r e l is a 20 year old artist based out of Los Angeles. Her music radiates emotion, embodying what she calls “evoca-pop”- music that makes you think and feel- and what has been labeled by music-tastemakers and fans as dream pop/alternative r&b. This past May she released her debut self-titled EP containing the  upbeat, ever popular track, “Plateau”. r e l ‘s music has been  featured on notable blogs such as MTV Iggy, Hilly Dilly, BaebleMusic, Crack in the Road, and Impose Magazine.


r e l has played at several historic venues throughout the Los Angeles area including Echo, Satellite, and The Mint, along with playing industry showcases including the DL at Dirty Laundry and BMI’s songwriter showcase. She has been working nonstop on new music and visuals for her upcoming full length album, to be released in late 2016.




Having already released two video singles in the past 3 months in support of their mini album Faith Or Theory, UK alt-rocker’s Circle Of Reason are back again to announce their new video for ‘Never Enough’.

Selected as the hard-hitting & attention grabbing opener for the album, ‘Never Enough’ delivers all of the bands renowned melodic hooks, articulate dynamics and fierce guitar riffs. Featuring actress & model ‘Hannaj Bang Bendz’, the track explores the lyrical theme of “No matter what you do, it’s never good enough for some people”A statement from the band explains their motives behind their latest video effort –  “With this video we wanted to show the emotion behind the song and how it could relate to anyone, having Hannaj tell the story and being the focal point of the video was important to get the point across”

Since breaking out on the scene in late 2011, Circle Of Reason’s boundless creativity, talent and musical vision has enabled the Southampton (UK) outfit to ride higher upon the wave of the British music scene. As one of the UK’s most assiduous emerging alternative rock acts, 2016 is proving to be the year the guys may well have the capability of pushing their music to greater heights of international recognition. Solo Electronic Indie performer called GLASYS based in Portland Oregon will be releasing  debut EP in September 2016.

GLASYS (Gil Assayas) is a pianist, synthesist, producer and vocalist located in Portland, Oregon. GLASYS delivers impassioned vocals, intricate virtuosic keyboard parts and electronic soundscapes in one package that combines his many influences including Indie Rock, Classical music, Electronic music and Jazz.

GLASYS is now recording his debut E.P which is set to be released in the Fall of 2016.


Emotionally evocative Los Angeles based  indie folk singer-songwriter Kyle Britton drops new single and announces new debut album coming up in July

Inspired by the quiet musings of troublesome love and the path to understanding, the emotionally evocative music of indie-folk singer-songwriter, Kyle Britton, epitomizes storytelling in its truest fashion. Britton’s distinctive sound combines undeniable dark undertones with roving melodies and atmospheric refrains, offering a unique experience for his listeners.

Britton enlisted help from Los Angeles’ most seasoned musicians including Kyle Crane on Drums (Daniel Lanois, Elle King) and renowned violist, Ginny Luke (Rihanna, Dave Matthews Band). Famed engineer, Darryl Swann (Macy Gray), made sure to highlight Britton’s warm and natural vocals.
