Giving It Up to Liverpool’s the Mono LPS

I first discovered The Mono LPS last Christmas when I found their Music Video “Christmas Time” on line.  It was amazing and it made me cry a little every time I listened to it.

The music video plays in a candle lit church with the lead singer,  Ste Reid, playing a piano against a back drop of  softly lit flames and a cello played by the very gorgeous and talented Vicky Mutch.  It is a powerful song and the proceeds  from the sale of the single and video went  to Pancreatic Cancer UK, the only national charity fighting pancreatic cancer on all fronts: support, information, campaigning and research. The song, the season, and the music video touched me in a special way and I immediately fell in love with the band.

The Mono LPS is an incredible band and plays music that is not Pop but it’s familiar. Their music is definitely ready for the radio and I would be very surprised if they did not make it big and more well known here  in the United States.

In light of today’s EU Referendum – of which I am hardly capable of commenting on – I thought it would be appropriate to feature one of their music videos while I also mention that they are in the process of finishing up on their next album “States of Decay”.
