Music Monday: Hello August!

August is officially here and just when you thought we were gearing down as schools start to get back in session and vacations start to end – nope! The music never stops pumping in Southern California. Adele’s in town this week for a handful of shows at Staples Center, and Allen Stone has a couple of shows planned for the Troubadour. But they aren’t the only ones…

Barbra Streisand at Staples Center on 8/2

It seems like it’s been forever since Babs has played a show and that’s because it’s been a minute, but alas – she’s back and ready to deliver all the fan favorites from “People” to “Where Am I Going?”

Gladys Knight at Hollywood Bowl on 8/3

From one diva to another. Join Gladys as she shares the night with Tower of Power. Sorry, we’re not sure if the Pips are going to be in attendance.

Miranda Lambert at Greek Theatre on 8/4

The girl power continues with one of the biggest stars in Country music today. She has had quite the year or so in the public eye but when you boil it down – she’s a pure entertainer and ready to shake the drama and take the stage for one hell of a performance.

Weezer and Panic! At The Disco at Irvine Meadows on 8/6

This is what happens when two forces band together to take on the summer. Weezer saw major success in the 90’s and throughout today with hits like “Buddy Holly” and “Beverly Hills,” and all the while Panic has had their own wave of success due to always managing to evolve and make it work.

Warped Tour at Pomona Fairplex on 8/7

One of the longest running summer festivals – ever. This year they have pop punk, rock, metalcore, alternative and much much more as New Found Glory, The Story So Far, State Champs and more entertain all day long.
