Music Monday: Queen Bey!

All hail because the Queen in back in town. It seems like Beyonce was just in Pasadena at the Bowl but alas she’s back and playing Dodger Stadium this week. It’s not every day that musicians take that field. Beyonce joins the likes of Madonna and most recently Guns N’ Roses. Before Queen Bey takes on such a grand stage, Jake Bugg and Petty Fest will be going on the night before. Bugg was one of the most buzzed about new artists last year, and Petty Fest is  a night where musicians from across the board like Jakob Dylan, Incubus’ Brandon Boyd and Danny Masterson formerly of That ’70s Show will be at The Fonda to pay homage to Tom Petty himself. Back to the night of Bey, if she isn’t your cup of tea and you’re more about tossing back a beer and listening to some country, then check out Grammy winning Kacey Musgraves at the Greek. Last but not least, Chain Reaction has been a staple in the Orange County area for 20 years now and they’re celebrating with a ton of bands who’ve played there over the years at The Observatory. Bands on deck for that night include MxPx, Coheed and Cambria, Anthony Green and many more. So that’s that. You have Grammy winners, celebrations galore and even some royalty going on this week.
