Next week Niantic will be premiering their new EP at a release show on November 12th at Arts District Co-Op in Downtown LA.
It’s there fans will get to hear the new songs off Floating Islands. An indie rock record that takes you through the motions in more ways than one that’d be a good fit for those who are low key Fitz and The Tantrums fans. Think of that band, minus that funky soul going on.
There was a couple of down moments on this EP given the slow pace of “Cardboard Lungs,” and the modern chic moments of “Nautilus.” Other than that things were kept upbeat. The title track gave way for that indie rock vibe, that Fitz-like way minus the funk. Then there was the fun beat of “Warble” and their most rock track, “Sink Or Swim.” Overall it was a good indie rock record with a dose of variety packed into just a handful of tracks.
If you’re in the LA area on on November 12th make sure to check in at the Arts District Co-Op in Downtown LA for a hell show from Niantic as they premiere their new EP, Floating Islands,” to the world. Fans of indie rock and a good time are heavily advised to come out and make a night of it. For those not able to make it, Floating Islands is out now!
