Futurist, FiFi Rong – Thoughts and Muses by Jessie Jones

Fifi Rong’s music and style blends eastern and western culture with hints of modern romanticism.

Eccentric, deep and honest, she brings pure emotional intimacy into her songs with a mesmerizing voice. Fifi incorporates a wide range of genres such as Electronica, Jazz, Dub, Hip Hop, UKG, Soundscape into her production, resulting in a singularly unexpected musical hybrid that draws its beauty from its one-of-a-kind unearthliness.

Self taught, Fifi started playing music at a very young age but never experimented with electronic programming until she moved to London. She is currently unsigned, and by the sound of it, she will continue to follow her unique vision as an independent artist. Having already established herself internationally by playing headline shows throughout the UK, Europe and China/Hong Kong, she released her much-anticipated EP ‘Violently Silently’ in December 2015 and another EP titled, ‘Forbidden Desire’ on 29 April 2016. Her new single , ‘Future Never Comes, written & Produced by Fifi Rong and Mark Rose was released last week along with a stunning music video.

The 26 year-old musician will deliver her next full length album later this year. Fifi describes her writing process as subconscious, and she is open to all kinds of creative influences. In today’s world of over the top production and gimmicks, it is admirable to see this DIY musician at an early stage, take a strong personal direction.
