Always a fan of the King of Rock and Roll, Mike Schiavo was a huge fan of music and singing but it wasn’t until six years ago that he really started to utilize his voice.
After gaining thousands of views on YouTube, the 22-year-old decided to try out for The Voice. After impressing with Tove Lo’s “Talking Body” – he made it and while he didn’t walk away with the crown, his managed to get his career up and running because now his self-titled EP is ready for fans to dive into.
From the first note, you know his is going to be a good album. He didn’t get chairs to turn around for nothing, right? Taking a page from the likes of Justin Timberlake and Justin Bieber, he delivers a healthy dose of pop with a soulful feel with catchy hooks in “Without You” and heavy positivity in both “Outside The Lines” and what’s sure to be an anthem for self love, “Gold.” Rounding out this album is a double dose of slow jams, one of the acoustic nature, “Back For Me” and “Collide.”
If you’re a fan of the type of music currently controlling the airwaves, pop with a urban twist – then Mike Schiavo’s album will fit in nicely with the rest of your playlists. So make sure to get yourself a copy of Mike Schiavo, out December 16.
