Lola Toben is a singer, pianist, and songwriter based in Los Angeles, California.
Referred to as the “female Elton John,” Lola is an artist who captivates audiences with her soulful voice and intricate songwriting. Her petite frame and humble demeanor have not stopped her from being a powerhouse performer. She has taken her original music across the country, performing at notable venues such as The Hotel Cafe in Los Angeles and Blueberry Hill in St. Louis. She was a Top Ten Finalist in the 2015 Wildflower! Songwriting Competition in Richardson, Texas. She has also toured with noted musicians such as Premik Russell Tubbs (Santana, Sting, James Taylor), Jeff Haynes (Joni Mitchell, Cassandra Wilson, Herbie Hancock) and bass virtuoso Michael Manring. Lola has been a soloist and pianist for several nationwide Christian conferences and retreats.
When off the stage, Lola works as a studio musician: session singing, arranging, coaching and playing keyboard. In her home town of Saint Louis, she was a respected singer and songwriter at Nelly’s Extreme Institute and Shock City Studios. She and her husband released a self-titled EP in 2014, Bryan and Lola. She also released an inspirational album in 2016 entitled, A Living Prayer. Since moving to Los Angeles in 2017, she has worked with notable producer Jez Colin (Barry Manilow, *NSync, Stevie Wonder), singing on the trailer for major motion picture, Kong: Skull Island. Lola has also recorded her own EP with Grammy-nominated producers, Alex Elena and Topher Mohr.
She will be releasing the album single by single this summer.
